About

Tʜᴇ Bʟᴀᴄᴋ Fᴇᴍᴀʟᴇ Dᴇᴠᴇʟᴏᴘᴍᴇɴᴛ Cɪʀᴄʟᴇ, Iɴᴄ at the University of Central Florida is a circle of women devoted to empowering each other throughout their college experience. Our three principles are Self Actualization and Improvement, Belief in a Higher Power, and Self Respect. Throughout the year, we host several events and socials that exemplify each of those principles. We provide leadership opportunities for our members in a fun, supportive environment.

The Black Female Development Circle is an organization of African American women that came together at the University of Florida in 1994. The group was founded to serve as a support system for black women. Meetings were to be a place where women with similar experiences could come together to discuss current events and find comfort from women who could relate to them. Since that time, collegiate chapters have been established at The University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, UConn, Flagler College, and the University of Miami.
