Graduate Writers Association

The Graduate Writers' Association (GWA) helps students transition from the university setting to a literary and professional career in the field of English. We offer options for you to create and participate in networking and professional development opportunities and can help you establish connections by sharing our knowledge of national literary organizations and more. The GWA provides you with funding to travel to the annual Association for Writers & Writing Program (AWP) national conference (and an additional regional conference) and other opportunities such as reading at our monthly PARCELS event. If you contribute $20 for annual dues, you will be included in our conference funding and invited to special professional and extracurricular events. The GWA represents a great, accessible way of getting involved on campus and becoming a professional in the field of English.
