About
NOW at UCF works to provide a strong intersectional feminist presence that impacts our campus and the greater Orlando community. In practicing intersectional feminism, our club warmly welcomes persons of all gender identities, sexualities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic standings. It is our belief that inclusive, intersectional feminism is the only true form of feminism. As political, economic, and social forces continue to deprive women, transgender, and non-binary people of safety from violence, fair and equal treatment in the workplace, access to reproductive healthcare and comprehensive sex education, and much more both in this country and abroad – it’s crucial that young feminists take initiative to raise awareness about the persisting need for gender equality, as well as leading the way to take action.
Our club has been working to eliminate the patriarchy since 2005!
