About
We In Animation is the UCF chapter of the international organization, Women in Animation (WIA). We are focused on celebrating and uplifting underrepresented and marginalized voices in the animation industry, as well as providing professional developmental opportunities to our members. We welcome artists of all identities passionate about animation and more!
As a student organization affiliated with WIA, our goal is to bridge the gender gap in the animation industry with the goal of 50/50 by 2025. This goal is continuing to evolve as WIA moves towards recognizing and addressing the unique obstacles faced by racial and LGBTQ+ minorities.
The UCF collective works to achieve this by building a professional network, hosting talks and panels, and holding professional development workshops in cooperation with our parent organization.
